Grid Standards

One may no be wondering how, if the Grid is such a multi-headed hydra, is any order placed upon these ever regenerating nine heads of evil? Who is the Hercules of the Grid? Currently this role is taken by the GGF. The GGF is the standards body through which most Grid standards are being refined and distributed. For example, the OGSA and OGSI standards are begin developed under the aegis of the GGF. In addition, there are almost innumerable other standards being developed under the auspices of the GGF. For example, the current set of standard are described by this web page, http://www.gridforum.org/documents/default.htm, containing far to many standard to shake a stick at.
