Some see the ``Grid'' as a means to manage jobs on distributed resources. There are a myriad of technologies which make this mode of ``Grid'' operation possible. For example, Condor, Globus, and Unicore are three software packages which allow the ``Grid''' to be seen as a means to manage jobs on distributed resources.
