This user's guide can be divided into four sections.
- Chapter 1 indicates the scope of this user's guide.
- Chapters 2 through 4 review basic ``Grid'' and web concepts from the perspective of an application
programmer.
- Chapters 5 through 15 make up the core of this user's guide. These chapters presents the core functionality
of GAT as seen from an application programmer's point-of-view.
- Chapter 16 presents an overview of the process of programming an ``adaptor,'' a software component
which connects GAT to the ``Grid.''
Readers with no prior experience in ``Grid'' programming should start with the first two sections. Reader who
are familiar with ``Grid'' programming can begin with the third section. The chapters within the third section need
not be read in order. However, occasionally chapters within the third section will reference other chapters within
this section. Finally, the fourth an final section of this user's guide should only be read by a reader who has
a firm grasp on the various other sections.
