C ain't object oriented, but the GAT API, which exists in a language independent form and is ``bound''
to different languages, is objected oriented; hence, we have a problem. How does one express the object
oriented constructs of the GAT API in an inherently non-object oriented language, C. The answer, with
much gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands.
