Grid Portal Research Developer (NEW!!!)

The Application Department of Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center invites applications for the Grid Portal Research Developer position starting as soon as July, 2004. PSNC is a leading academic supercomputing center and GridLab project coordinator that contains extensive high-end network and computing infrastructures. The Center is seeking to hire a highly motivated researcher who wishes to work in a dynamic grid research environment.

Job Description:

In this position, you will be involved in the design and development of various visualization tools and portal environments for grid middleware services. This is a new, full-time long term position.

Education and Experience:

• Master Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, or a equivalent combination of education and experience,
• At least two years' experience in portal and middleware technologies,
• Very strong programming skills, using programming languages Java, C, C++ and scripting languages,
• Good knowledge and experience on Apache/Tomcat technologies,
• Significant experience in parallel and distributing computing, including Globus and distribute resource management systems,
• Knowledge in Web Services, GSI, OGSA and wireless technologies would be an added advantage.
